Established in 1996, CD Tax & Financial is a family owned accounting business located in East Mesa, AZ. We were originally established to serve clients in Maricopa and Pinal counties but today we have clients all over the United States. We pride ourselves in providing excellent service to all our clients, making their lives less taxing! Allow us to be your trusted partner in success. Our firm is large enough to offer a full range of professional services at a fair price, but small enough to give you the individual attention you deserve. Erica R Palmisano, EA

At a very young age Erica was transplanted to East Mesa, Arizona. A Red Mountain alumna – Go Mountain Lions! – Erica received her Associate degree in General Studies at the University of Phoenix. In 2015 Erica took over the day to day running of the firm from her mother and continues her mom’s legacy of helping individuals and businesses with a host of tax preparation, accounting & payroll services, and representation. Erica, her husband AJ, and their children love to spend time hanging out with family and friends. Erica is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to clients’ accounting and tax situations. In 2011 Erica passed a stringent, comprehensive three-part examination covering individual tax returns, business tax returns, representation, and practice and procedure to obtain an Enrolled Agent license. The enrolled agent license is the highest credential the IRS issues. After completing a 3-year study she became a fellow of the prestigious National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI) demonstrating a higher level of knowledge and a commitment to excellence in the field. She serves on the board of Central Arizona Chapter of Enrolled Agents as a member at large. Jennifer Swei, Co-Owner of CD Tax & Financial, joined the firm in 2017. She finds that the most rewarding part of her position is being able to help and educate her clients so that they can understand their financial position and save big on taxes. At CD Tax & Financial, Jennifer is primarily responsible for helping individuals and small businesses navigate their taxes and serving the accounting and payroll needs for small business clients.
Some of her completed projects include:
- Making sure accounting clients understand their numbers and ensuring their numbers are kept up-to-date
- Transitioning clients into QuickBooks Online so that they can be more hands on with their bookkeeping
- Transitioning clients into a new payroll software and training them how to use it
Prior to joining CD Tax & Financial, Jennifer was a General Manager for McDonald’s for 20 years, where she was responsible for analyzing numbers and reconciling accounts. It was during this period that she realized that she was not only passionate about working with numbers, but had a knack for it as well.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Western Governors University and an Associate’s degree in Business from Arizona Community College. She plans on testing to become an Enrolled Agent.
When she’s not busy with work, Jennifer is often spending quality time with her husband and two daughters, Kimberly and Alexa. She enjoys playing tennis with her daughters and hosting barbeques with friends and family.
Wealth Preservation Specialist
Deb Brundage joined CD Tax and Financial in 2016. Her responsibilities include serving as CD Tax and Financial’s wealth preservation consultant, retirement specialist, and certified identity theft risk management specialist, as well as handling estate and legacy planning.
As a seasoned veteran with over two decades of knowledge and experience in the financial services industry, Deb is a well-respected professional in the community. She holds an Insurance License in the state of Arizona and is very client-oriented; she dedicates herself to providing the highest quality of services to her clients. The most rewarding part of her job is reviewing investment results with her clients and seeing the happy and amazed looks on their faces.
Deb grew up in Iowa and has been an Arizona resident for over 35 years. Devoted to her family and faith, Deb loves to spend time with her husband of 44 years, three children and three grandchildren. She’s also a huge fan of all-natural products and the American reality television show, Bringing Up Bates.
Office Manager (Multitasking Ninja)
Tina Cropper (also known as the “Multitasking Ninja”) joined CD Tax & Financial as the Office Manager in 2013. She is responsible for juggling all of the office managerial tasks, which includes client communications, customer support, and marketing activities.
When it comes to day-to-day operations, Tina is committed to making sure that clients are more than satisfied with their tax services. Her favorite thing about her job is simply “everything;” she absolutely loves everything about working at CD Tax & Financial—the team, the clients, the culture, everything.
Prior to joining CD Tax & Financial, Tina worked for a tax office in Oregon for 16 years as an office assistant. When she is not working, she loves to explore the great outdoors with her family, doing various activities like four-wheeling, camping, hiking, and kayaking. Other times, she loves to just hang out with her family and relax at home by their pool. Her favorite movie of all time is the Disney classic, Lion King.
Office Administrative Assistant
Danielle Isom is the Office Administrative Assistant at CD Tax & Financial, a role she’s had since January 2020. Her main duties include answering phones, helping clients when they come into the office, and offering professional assistance on daily operations. She is most passionate about meeting new people from all walks of life and making personal connections with them while fulfilling their tax preparation and accounting needs.
Danielle and her husband have been married for 15 years, and when not working, she enjoys spending time with her three children, three bulldogs, and hedgehog. She is a huge sports fan and loves all things sports related. She loves the television show Chicago Fire and any reality TV program, likes doing other people’s makeup, and is obsessed with Sonic ice.
